Import Center, Cooldowns & Queue

Run safe imports, monitor all-stats jobs, and recover from partial data.

Import Center

Open Administration → Import Center for the normal Madden import workflow. It replaces the separate Import Status and Import Queue screens.

The main button says Import My League the first time and Update My League after that. Select it once. NeonSportz performs the normal steps in order.

Watch the guided import walkthrough, followed by Discord /import update, /import status, and the individual stage commands. The tutorial also covers progress, retries, and targeted repairs.

What the main import does

  1. Imports league information and standings.
  2. Imports every team roster and free agents.
  3. Imports schedules.
  4. Imports statistics for every supported week.
  5. Verifies completion.

You do not need to select each step manually.

Progress states

The Import Center keeps its progress on the server. Closing or reloading the page does not restart the import.

You may see:

  • Waiting in line — position #3. The request is queued and safe.
  • Importing rosters — 18 of 33 complete. Leave the page open or return later.
  • Preparing schedules and statistics. The stats stage is being set up. It changes to a week count once the import begins.
  • Importing stats — Week 4 of 22. The all-weeks job is running.
  • Import complete. The update finished.
  • Import stopped while importing rosters. Use the displayed retry action once.
  • Automatic retry. EA is overloaded. NeonSportz pauses for five minutes, then retries automatically. The screen shows the paused stage, time remaining, and attempt count.

The progress bar covers the whole import rather than the current stage, so it moves forward once per stage and does not restart. Alongside it, Import Center estimates the time remaining, and for a league waiting in the queue, how long until its turn. The estimate comes from how quickly recent imports finished, so it moves as the queue does and is an approximation rather than a deadline.

Concurrent requests for the same league share one import attempt. Roster updates wait their turn without restarting at the back of the queue, and completed statistics imports release their place even if an older duplicate attempt remains in the history.

The main action is disabled when another action is unavailable. Cooldowns and queue positions come from the server, so repeated clicks do not make an import faster.

An EA all-statistics job that stops responding can be picked up automatically and rejoin the queue at the back. A guided EA update that finished rosters but stopped before scheduling statistics can also be recovered, within about an hour. This recovery does not fetch missing Companion payloads and is not a promise that an unchanged roster counter will resolve within an hour. It keeps the weeks it already imported, and the leagues waiting ahead of it are not held up while it retries.

Automatic retries when EA is overloaded

Every league uses the same overload recovery for guided updates, league information, rosters, schedules, all statistics, and individual weeks. An overload pauses that work for five minutes before the next automatic attempt. NeonSportz allows up to two automatic retries; repeated clicks during the wait do not start another attempt or bypass the cooldown.

Import Center keeps polling while the import is paused. It shows Automatic retry, the affected stage, a countdown, Attempt 1 of 2 or Attempt 2 of 2, and completed progress when available. You can close the page: the retry runs on the server. When the attempt begins, the status changes back to Importing. Work already imported is retained.

If EA still refuses the request after both retries, the import stops with an explanation and a Try Again action. Wait until EA recovers, then select that action once. Authorization or franchise-access problems require the recovery shown on screen; the automatic overload retry does not fix those problems.

This is separate from the refresh limit after a successful import. Up to date / Update Available Soon means an import completed; Automatic retry means it is still waiting to finish. Do not reconnect EA or reset league data to bypass either wait.

Companion exports and a stuck 33% roster counter

A Companion standings export updates league information; it does not request or schedule roster imports. NeonSportz registers roster work only when the Companion App actually sends a roster payload. With previously imported rosters, a weekly stats export can complete without another roster export. If roster jobs were received and are still pending, weekly stats wait for those jobs. A first import or a season reset still needs Rosters before player statistics can be processed.

Before version 1.32.17, standings exports could incorrectly create 32 pending roster records without receiving any rosters. This left Import Center at 33% / 0 of 32 and could delay or fail weekly stats. The bug is fixed. Signing in or refreshing Import Center does not start an import. A progress label alone describes tracking records; it does not prove that a worker is processing rosters or explain what started the attempt.

If progress stays unchanged beyond the suggested wait, provide the league abbreviation, import method, action taken, and time of the attempt in your support ticket. Do not reset league data. Support should check the attempt and received work rather than repeatedly promising that waiting will fix it.

Check from Discord

Use /import status to see the same durable state and /import update to start or resume the guided workflow.

The individual stage commands import as well: /import league-info, /import rosters and /import stats. Each runs its own stage and then reports the league’s import state, including the stage reached, how far through it is, the queue position when statistics are waiting, and the estimated time remaining. During an overload, the response includes the automatic retry delay and attempt count. Run /import status again for the latest state.

Starting an import requires league Edit League/Admin permission. Discord Administrator alone does not grant that permission. /import status shows progress without starting work. A league already importing keeps its current attempt rather than starting another one.

Fix one part of an import

Expand Fix One Part of the Import only when the normal import completed but a specific part is missing.

  • League Information repairs teams and standings.
  • Rosters repairs players and free agents.
  • All Statistics repairs schedules and statistics across multiple weeks. It does not start a roster import. Only the full Import My League / Update My League workflow runs league information, rosters, and statistics in order.

For one missing week, use Import a Specific Week below instead of importing every week again.

A single-part repair finishes on its own and does not continue into the other stages. When it completes, Import Center returns to the ready state rather than reporting that another stage is starting. Use the main import action when you want the full league information, rosters and statistics sequence.

Import a specific week

Expand Import a Specific Week in Import Center to see what every week has on file and fetch any of them again. Every other week is left alone, so this is the fastest way to repair a single week that came back missing or wrong.

The table lists each regular season and playoff week against the eight things EA returns for it: games, team statistics, passing, rushing, receiving, kicking, punting and defense. Each is marked one of three ways:

  • On file. That part of the week has been imported. Point at the mark to see when.
  • Missing. The league has reached that week but does not have that part of it. This is what to import.
  • Not played yet. The league has not reached the week, so there is nothing to import. Schedules arrive before a week is played, so a future week often shows its games on file and nothing else. That is expected, not a gap.

Use the import button at the end of a week’s row to fetch that week again.

  • Preseason weeks 1 to 4 are listed separately, below the table. Preseason imports are not recorded, so there is nothing to show for them; each button fetches that week fresh.
  • The Pro Bowl week is not listed. EA holds no statistics for it.
  • Select a week once and wait. A week you have just imported is held for a couple of minutes so a second selection does not fetch it twice.
  • A specific-week import always fetches the week again, even if it was imported minutes ago. That is the difference between it and the full import, which skips weeks it has just pulled.

A specific-week import is unavailable while an import is queued, running, or waiting for an automatic retry. Wait for it to finish, then import the week.

Missing games for one week

When a week has no imported games, a league administrator sees Import Week [number] on the schedule. It imports that one week, the same as selecting it in Import Center. A regular member sees that a league administrator must import the week.

An accepted or queued notification means the request was received. Wait for completion in Import Center, then reopen the schedule or game page to verify the games appear.

Player statistics look thin for every week

Statistics attach to the players your league has on file, so a roster that has drifted from EA’s shows up as missing players rather than as a failed import: weeks report on file, the totals are simply short, and importing those weeks again changes nothing.

Import rosters first, then import the affected weeks. The roster import is what reconciles your players with EA, and the statistics can only find them afterwards. This is worth trying whenever stats look incomplete across the board rather than for one week — a single short week is usually just that week, and the specific-week import above is the faster fix.

Import method

Madden leagues import through EA Connect, the Madden Companion App, or both, set under Import Methods at the top of Import Center. The rest of the page follows what is on: EA Connect adds the import button, stage list, and per-week repairs; the Companion App adds the Export URL and the export steps; a league doing both sees all of it. At least one has to stay on, and methods cannot be changed while an import is running.

Companion imports remain available alongside EA Connect; connecting EA does not disable the Companion export URL.

Do not reconnect merely to bypass a cooldown.

Import completion webhooks

Open Administration → Automation → Import Webhook to notify an external dashboard after League Information, Rosters, or All Statistics completes.

Webhook destinations must be public HTTP or HTTPS addresses. NeonSportz rejects local, private-network, link-local, and redirecting destinations. See Import Automation and Webhooks for payloads and security requirements.

If an import stops

If all-statistics imports are temporarily unavailable, the request has not been queued. Wait briefly and try again. Import Center marks the attempt as stopped and makes its retry action available; a refused All Statistics repair does not start the 30-minute cooldown.

  1. Read the stopped stage shown by Import Center.
  2. Select its retry action once.
  3. Wait for the status to change.
  4. Verify the affected league page.

If the same known failure remains after the retry, follow the Discord support instructions on the screen. Do not reset league statistics while an import is active.

If EA is refusing requests

When EA stops accepting export requests, Import Center says so and stops the import at that point rather than attempting the remaining weeks, which could only fail the same way. Weeks already imported are kept.

During an EA overload, the five-minute automatic retry described above applies. Leave the existing attempt in place while its countdown runs. If the retry limit is reached, follow the displayed retry action after EA recovers. Other EA refusals use the recovery instructions shown for that error.

If a site update is being installed

NeonSportz stops starting new imports while an update is being installed. A league that asks for one during that window waits in the queue and starts as soon as the update finishes, rather than being started into a site that is about to restart.

An import that was already running when the update began is handed back to the front of the queue as soon as the site returns, and continues from the weeks it had not yet imported. Nothing is required from you, and the interruption does not count against the number of times NeonSportz retries the import.
